Welcome to the World of the Minute Man: The Minute Man has been on the market for 10 years now. It was developed for the repossession industry, and is the first light duty truck wheel lift of its kind. The reason for development was never having the right equipment for the job. The Minute Man can go places where a full size wrecker can never go. Most vehicles manufactured today consist of plastics. The sling type wreckers can create more damage than most repossession companies can afford to repair. A small recovery agency or service center can not afford the investment of a heavy duty wrecker and still hold down prices and compete in the market place. A few times a year you will receive accounts for the fifth wheel or gooseneck trailers. Like most recovery agencies, they would have to hire an outside company to assist because the agency did not have the right equipment which lowers profit margins. Today, the larger client will not do business with a repossession company if they do not own a wheel lift. The Minute Man is three trucks in one. The lifting capacity is 3500 lbs. and the towing capacity is 7500 lbs. The Minute Man can tow anything, anytime without damage. Anyone can own this wheel lift and install it on any 3/4 ton or heavier truck and it will fit any year or make. The Minute Man was built with strength for all occasions. The Minute Man has been in research & development for two years, and field tested for one year. Currently there are five units in use located in South Bend and Gary Indiana, with three units in Kalamazoo, Michigan. A high volume recovery company has tested the Minute Man and can not make it fail. As you will see from the photos, ( click here to visit the Minute Man Photo Gallery), the Minute Man is powered by one 12 volt battery and the hydraulic cylinders are powerd by two 12 volts hydraulic pumps. The boom is power up and gravity down and regulated by a 3/8 flow control valve. The wheel lift section is controlled by a two way hydraulic pump. The ram travel is about 12" to accommodate different sized vehicles. The Minute Man requires a counter balance of not less then four hundred pounds. This can be in the form of a lead weight that we produce, that can be attached to the front of the truck under the chassis and bolted to the frame directly under the radiator. The consumer can replace the front bumper with a weighted version sold by any number of third party vendors. We recommend adding three springs or airbags in the rear of the truck or any product equal to the effect of three leaf spring. We at the Minute Man Plant hope you can see where this Wheel Lift and Multiple Hitch System will save you Money and Time. |
